The Dream Circus
Project
a collaborative immersive theater experiment about the magic and danger of spectacle.
Inspired by Erin Morgenstern’sThe Night Circus, This intimate 45-minute show explores the blurred lines of intimacy & spectacle, audience & performer, exploitation & empowerment.
Performed over three floors in the historic ‘92 Theatre and Zelnick Pavilion, for 15 audience members per show.

The Musician needs your help composing a song in the bathroom,
the Candyman practices a puppet show in his cupboard,
the Illusionist contemplates the nature of reality,
the Figure Artist inquires if you are a lover from a long ago land,
the Apothecary makes medicine for just your very malady,
the Clown preserves memories in a collection of glass jars beneath the stairs,
& under the big top tent, bound together in a trinity of power the Ringmaster, the Producer, and the Ghost grapple for influence and for freedom.
